My heritage is in agriculture. From piglets to puppies and everything in between, my upbringing on Hillcrest Farms is rooted in my soul.

From my involvement in the 4-H and FFA organizations, my love and adoration for the agricultural world has never stopped growing. I’ve always thrived on learning and taking every opportunity that comes my way.

Just a short hour and a half drive from the farm across the flourishing corn and soybean fields is Ames, Iowa. A school that not only intensified my passion for agriculture but curiously developed another new joy: writing and design.

By fusing the agricultural communications and journalism majors, I genuinely found my purpose. My homestead for my soul you could say.

With each story I write, my spirit is written in it. Many say it’s written from the heart, but I believe it comes from a place in the soul. My calling is to share with you the stories crafted in my free spirit in hopes of inspiring you to start homesteading your soul.
